Movie DNA

The 26 Clerkdogs writers (mostly former video-store clerks) have carefully identified each of a movies' top 10 attributes, choosing from among the 36 core attributes (Clerks' attribute glossary) that live on our site. They then prioritized each of these attributes and rated them for quantity on a 1 to 10 scale. Even though this is a numbers-based system, all of the numbers come directly from our human Clerks, backed by their experience with tens of thousands of customers. This system helps to power our other apps, including Mash it, Build Your Own Movie, SuperMatch, and even the comparisons for our handmade Match system.
